Lisa Ayres was born and raised around St. Louis, Missouri. She fueled her love of science, nature and art from a young age, spending much of her free time outdoors and gaining invaluable skills of observation. Initially interested in pursuing a career in science out of high school, Lisa transitioned to her full time art career in 2016, attending St. Charles Community College where she earned her Associate of Arts in 2014 before transferring to Savannah College of Art and Design for Sculpture in 2017. In 2019, Lisa took on her first official fabrication role, creating dioramas for museums, libraries and zoos as part of a team. In 2020, due to significant health events, Lisa left the fabrication team to pursue art on her own again. Today she creates from many mediums and has a wide scope of artwork.
