Sleeping With the Fishes

2019 | plaster, twine, mirrors, rocks, fabric, rope

Sleeping with the Fishes is an installation intended to take the viewer under sea to a place where dreamers seem to be imprisoned in the subconscious of the sea. Invited to sit in the underwater throne weighed down with cinderblocks to rest for eternity. A piece about self reflection of feeling trapped in a dream herself. The faces like barnacles, plaster the walls. A net hangs over head, reminisce of a dream catcher where you can literally and metaphorically sleep among the fish.

Welcome to the Rabbit Hole

2019 | Magazines

This piece is a one material installation. The material I chose was magazines. You are supposed to feel eerie and possibly  confused in this jungle of madness. Vines hang from the walls around you. Beneath your feet is a small stream that spirals out from a fountain in the middle with a tiny pond with some lilies in it surrounded by rocks. Flowers, Moths, and spider webs decorate the walls. In the left hand corner there is a rabbit hole, or perhaps a rabbit cave, In case you weren't uncomfortable yet, you realize the moths are all images of people's faces. Take the time to explore this installation.
